Using DNA to Help Protect Endangered Wild Camels

Dr Anna Jemmett discusses her research on wild camel conservation and how the NEOF Visitor Facility provided funded access to the lab and training to support the project during her PhD. 

Dr Anna Jemmett describes how the Sheffield NEOF team supported her PhD work DNA profiling endangered wild camels and domestic Bactrian camels to investigate population sizes, genetic diversity and introgression between the two species. Anna was trained in DNA profiling and population analysis by the NEOF team.
