Commercialisation Conversations - Opteran

Research at the University of Sheffield is exploring new ways of solving robot autonomy.

Opteran, which is led by Professor James Marshall, Dr Alex Cope, and David Rajan, uses 'natural intelligence' to redefine the autonomy of robots by mimicking the brains of insects.

By harnessing the power of biological brain algorithms, Opteran technology is enabling machines to see, sense, navigate and make decisions better than existing AI approaches.
