How do you turn something microscopic into a 90 foot work of art?

Artist Luke Jerram explains the unusual challenges involved in creating two large sculptures for KrebsFest 2015: a glass mitochondrion and a giant inflatable E. coli bacterium.

In this video, Luke shares how he approached the project and brought these tiny parts of the biological world to life on a much larger scale.

The sculptures were commissioned for KrebsFest 2015, an event celebrating science and the work of University of Sheffield scientist Sir Hans Krebs.
