Birds of paradise are among the most vibrant creatures on the planet, using their spectacular plumage to show off and attract mates. Marvel at the giant birdof-paradise sculptures created by artists Jo Veal and Patrick Amber and discover the fascinating science behind these wonderful birds through the research of Dr Christopher Cooney. Includes sculptures in both the Winter Garden until Friday 13 November, and Millennium Gallery until Sunday 15 November. Create your own bird of paradise in a workshop with the artists – 12–2pm, Sat 14 November. Suitable for younger makers and families, all welcome.
