Embark on a breath-taking voyage to the outer limits of the universe with Gustav Holst’s astronomical tour-de-force The Planets.
In this filmed orchestral performance, Holst’s monumental music is combined with short talks about the cosmos and spectacular visuals.
In the second chapter, Stars and Star Birth, Professor Paul Crowther provides an overview of our Sun, a comparison with different types of star, from faint dwarfs to hypergiants, and stellar origins within nurseries, enhanced by stunning images from National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and European Space Agency (ESA) spacecraft.
