Professor Judy Clegg is a speech and language therapist who specialises in work with children and young people who have autism, Down syndrome, and other less obvious disabilities.
She’s developed the Small Talk Clinic, a new service aimed at parents and carers for pre-school children with developmental differences in their communication. Students studying speech and language therapy courses also undertake placements at Small Talk to help develop their interpersonal skills. The clinic has helped nearly 1,000 children, their families, and their carers.
