Sci-Art: The Very Big and the Very Small

Dr Andrew Parnell and award-winning artist Paul Evans have worked together on an extraordinary series of Sci-Art initiatives since 2016. In this short film they discuss their five-year interdisciplinary ‘Fantastic Voyage’ together and talk about their scientific and creative approaches to developing awareness and understanding of Andrew’s research. The film is illustrated with fly-throughs of VR artworks created for the University of Sheffield Festival of the Mind by Paul Evans.  This visual approach helps to explain important aspects of how structure and form convey function and help make our advanced material world.
