The podcast exploring Sheffield academic's professional and personal journeys alongside their own soundtrack to academic adventure.

Louise Robson grew up wanting to be a doctor but a flunked A level led to a much more enjoyable, interesting and successful path for her and physiology, in particular how proteins called ion channels allow our cells to function normally, and what happens when things go wrong, for example in cystic fibrosis. And she has not only a research reputation, but a national and international reputation in digital learning and teaching methods.

Louise is Professor of Digital Innovation in Learning and Teaching at the University of Sheffield and is Director of Education for the Faculty of Science, based in the School of Biosciences. She’s a National Teaching Fellow, Principal Fellow of the HEA, a senior fellow of the Physiological Society, a fellow of the Royal Biological Society and for five years running was winner of the Best Overall Lecturer in the department of Biomedical Sciences.
