Research Records is a monthly podcast hosted by Professor Marie Kinsey (Journalism) and Professor Tony Ryan OBE (Chemistry) from The University of Sheffield. Each month they are joined by esteemed guests from The University of Sheffield (and occasionally further afield) for a lively and engaging chat about their personal and professional journey alongside their own soundtrack to academic adventure, all over the course of about an hour.

Our latest guest is Professor Jim Al-Khalili, a theoretical physicist from the University of Surrey where he holds a Distinguished Chair in Physics as well as being Professor in Public Engagement in Science. He is a prominent author and broadcaster and has written 14 books on popular science and the history of science. He is a regular presenter of TV science documentaries and hosts the long-running weekly BBC Radio 4 programme, The Life Scientific.
