Living with Mesothelioma

Exploring the different lived experiences of men and women with mesothelioma

The film

In this filmed panel discussion, Dr Stephanie Ejegi-Memeh from the Health Sciences School talks to members of the mesothelioma community about the Gendered Experiences of Mesothelioma Study (GEMS).

GEMS examined the differences experienced by male and female patients living with mesothelioma; from diagnosis, through treatment to seeking compensation. The study was conducted by Dr Michaela Senek, Dr Steve Robertson, Dr Bethany Taylor, Professor Angela Tod and Dr Stephanie Ejegi-Memeh and was funded by Mesothelioma UK.

This filmed discussion will premiere at 7pm on Monday 1 November 2021 and will remain available throughout the festival.
