Book Launch: Britain Alone by Liam Stanley
How a decade of conflict remade the nation
A live online panel discussion celebrating the launch of Britain Alone: How a decade of conflict remade the nation, the new book by Dr Liam Stanley.
Britain Alone traces Britain’s complex nationalist path after the 2008 financial crisis. It analyses the thread that ties the fallout of the crash and austerity, through Brexit, and lockdown politics, to provide a new history of the last decade of Britain and its relationship to the global economy.
At the event, Liam gave a short talk before discussing the themes and arguments of the book with Dr Maya Goodfellow and Professor Matthew Watson. The discussion was then followed by a Q&A with the online audience.
