Distraction Comix

Autistic people share their experiences of distraction.

Neurodiversity refers to the different ways that our brains work. This includes diversity in what captures our attention. Better understanding these experiences is important as everyday environments can present barriers and facilitators for different people.

Distraction Comix was produced in collaboration with three autistic adults, who shared their everyday stories. This comic brings to life research from Dr Daniel Poole’s Economic and Social Research Council funded project What You Can’t Ignore: Examining Distraction in Autism.
