BioFest Zine

The BioFest Zine explores the wonders of bioscience and its role in tackling five of humanity’s biggest challenges: 

• Climate change

• Food security

• Healthy ageing

• Antimicrobial resistance

• Biodiversity

The zine was produced by pupils from five Sheffield secondary schools, working together with local artist Steve Poole. In a series of workshops, the pupils were paired with a different global challenge and tasked with creating artwork that expressed their hopes, fears, and ideas for solutions, all while learning about how bioscience researchers are working to address these challenges.
