Research Records is a monthly podcast hosted by Professor Marie Kinsey (Journalism) and Professor Tony Ryan OBE (Chemistry) from The University of Sheffield. Inspiration for Life was set up in memory of Tim Richardson, who began the 24 hour Inspire - a lecture marathon featuring back to back half hour talks on well, life, the universe and everything.

It’s fitting that today’s guest was closely involved in Inspiration for Life before ending up as the charity’s treasurer. Mike Weir is himself a physicist now working at the University of Nottingham in the School of Physics and Astronomy and specialising in polymers.
