Loxley: Wanderings in a Curious Valley – Peter Machan

During the Pandemic author and local historian Peter Machan spent a solitary year exploring the nearby Loxley Valley.  He discovered a surprising ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ of different landscapes, historical characters, tragic and dramatic events, unusual occupations, perplexing ruins, unique folk tales and  the traditions that make this area so fascinating.  In this illustrated talk, he shows that, even on our own doorstep there are worlds to explore and untold stories to tell.
